My Story

Traveler, Adventurer, Explorer and Wanderer. I think each speaks to our curiosity.

I've been intrigued with travel from a young age. To see distant lands and experience different cultures came to me after a job not long out of school where I worked with those from other countries and found they saw the world very differently than I. Travel has helped me better understand and appreciate those cultures and their differences. Mark Twain wrote "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness...". I certainly think it helped me.

My journey here is inspired by travel to other places and other times. As an American the art deco aesthetic is particularly interesting as the country emerges from the Great Depression and experiments with Prohibition and finds itself in the Jazz Age.

As time allows I want to continue to add to the Japanese, Celtic, Art Deco and Ancient Americas collections and do more with Greco Roman and Africa cultural art and symbols. There is so much more of the world to explore.. in art and in life.

"I wonder what this Mayan symbol means"
"I wonder what life was like in 1920s Chicago"
"I wonder about Japanese design philosophy"
"I wonder about African artistic traditions"
